Death Stranding is a brand new project by the famous Japanese game designer Hideo Kojima. The game tells the story of post-apocalyptic America, which - like the whole world, though - was virtually destroyed after the cataclysm called Death Stranding. The United States as such ceased to exist, only the United Cities of America remained, between which the few brave people who try to keep the peace - couriers - travel.
Players are assigned the role of one such courier, whose name is Sam Bridges. Sam needs to travel from the East Coast of North America to the West Coast, rebuilding a special chiral network along the way to connect all the settlements into a single whole. The final destination is the Edge Hub, home to the future president of the UCA. This path is not an easy one - in addition to the human marauders, who prey on the wastelands of America, there are also the so-called “washed ashore” - monstrous creatures that can only be saved from with the help of special equipment.
