Cable guy: Star Wars: Chewbacca is based on the Star Wars franchise. Chewbacca (Chewie for short) is a male Wookiee who was known as a talented pilot and mechanic. During the time of the Galactic Empire, Kashyyyk was enslaved, and Chewbacca among other Wookiees was sent to the mines as a slave. At the same time, Han Solo, who had no tolerance for slavery, was attending the Academy. When Solo saw Wookiees and Chewbacca being abused by their overseers, the Corellian couldn't bear it and rescued the Wookiee, for which he was kicked out of the Academy. Han Solo subsequently became Chewbacca's best friend. Chewbacca had a “debt of life” to Han.Along with Han Solo, Chewbacca piloted the Millennium Falcon ship on which Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and two droids traveled to Alderaan. Chewbacca was a key part of the plan to rescue Princess Leia, playing the role of a “captive alien” that allowed Han and Luke to infiltrate Prison Block AA-23 on the Death Star.
